Fight the Boredom

Listen to Your Body
Is it really hunger or is it stress or bad habits? The American Diabetes Association reminds people that hunger develops over time and is not a sudden urge or desire. Some signs of actual hunger include a feeling of emptiness in the stomach, difficulty concentrating, low energy or fatigue, or stomach pangs, .
Get Active
Try exercise or stretching, just as long as you are not stretching your hand into the cookie jar. Keep your mind and body busy to stave off the cravings.
Get Some Sleep
People that do not get enough sleep often consume more sugary calories when they are awake. It is easier to reach for sweets rather than to prepare a healthy meal. Get adequate sleep and watch your cravings decrease during the day.
Choose Healthy Carbs
Go for healthy carbs rather than sugary donuts. Eat fresh veggie sticks or a few berries. Spread avocado on whole grain toast or whole grain crackers. Try a handful of almonds instead of sweets.
